| The Dental Store® was founded by Neil H. Shulkin, DDS in 1964 at Grove Mall in Elk Grove Village for the express purpose of extending better dental care at competitive costs. Since, The Dental Store® has evolved into a family dental practice offering a full complement of dental services from general dentistry to periodontics, oral surgery to endodontic and orthodontic dentistry, while becoming a major force in dental education in the community as well as national and international levels for dentists and lay persons alike.
The Dental Store®, Ltd. was founded from a desire to inform, educate and provide the community with the best dentistry available. The Dental Store® represents three generations of experience in the dental profession. It provides innovation in the field of dental care at the community level as well as nationally and internationally. And, it has been doing so for more than 34 years, with more than 35,000 patients treated during that time. The Dental Store® is ranked among the top TWO percent or THREE percent of the nation's private dental practices in practice productivity, size and number of dental professionals. The Dental Store® staff maintains educational requirements and makes innovative contributions to schools, nursing homes, businesses, unions and community groups. Members of The Dental Store® staff have appeared on the lecture circuit, radio and television, maintain university appointments, and have earned the attention of professional and lay media throughout the world. We have won national awards for our patient communications and public relations. The Dental Store® is about caring. We are particularly sensitive to the needs of people and their families. We strive to make dentistry pleasant, comfortable and affordable. Our goals... to make people feel better about themselves, AND to make our patients function better and look better. This Web site simply explains our services, our programs, our efforts and accomplishments over the many years of practicing our profession. We are proud of our achievements, but we did not do it alone! We could not have done anything of merit without the contributions and support of our families, our staff of professionals and our supporting personnel, the businesses and companies which have supported us, the community leaders and the community at-large, as well as the unending support of thousands upon thousands of our patients who visit us for their dental care each and every day, year after year.
