This new technology conquers fear, pain and anxiety. See Patterson Dental.

The KCP2000 is an advanced instrument which provides for conservative cavity preparation utilizing a precise stream of minute particles propelled by compressed air. In most cases, it can also be used for caries (decay) removal, etching, removal of old fillings, discolorations, incisal or tooth fractures, pit and fissure sealants, enhanced bonding procedures, porcelain repairs, desensitizing procedures, stains, orthodontic bonding, denture repairs and a multiple number of other conventional dental procedures. The KCP eliminates the need for anesthesia. In most cases it is faster than the drill, eliminates vibration and high whining sounds and eliminates heat. It does not have direct contact with the tooth structure. See Patterson Dental .

Astra's PERIOCHIP® is a small rectangular chip which is inserted into individual periodontal pockets and dispenses continuous antimicrobial agents lasting about 3 months helping to reduce or eliminate periodontal pockets often delaying or eliminating the need for gum surgery. Used in periodontal maintenance programs consisting of regular hygiene appointments, scaling and root-planing for patients with adult periodontitis (gum disease). And, introducing Block Drugs new ATRIDOX™, the first antimicrobial gel that flows deeply into periodontal pockets for controlling periodontal disease.

The CAVIJET Tooth Cleaning System provides ultrasonic scaling or removal of calculus (plaque) from tooth surfaces and below the gumline and it provides for an air abrasive action of fine pumice or baking soda to remove stain from teeth. See Patterson Dental.

The ACUCAM INTRAORAL DENTAL IMAGING SYSTEM provides an unique perspective to professionals and patients alike, better understanding of particular dental problems and the capability of viewing restorations and improvements. It aids communications. And, it provides a permanent computerized record which can be printed for patients' inoffice and personal files as well as insurance billing.

The INTERPROBE Periodontal Examination and Charting System is a computer-generated periodontal (gums) evaluation producing a permanent chart of a patient's current status of his/her supporting gum tissues including tooth mobility, bleeding, pocket development/pocket depth and gum shrinkage for future reference, for insurance company billing, for later comparison for treatment results or continuing disease. The computerized chart becomes a permanent part of the patient records.

The AMERICAN DENTAL LASER OR "YAG" LASER was first used in the USA, after FDA approval, at The Dental Store®'s original location in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This revolutionary laser uses a controlled beam of light which is pulsed so that pain perception is eliminated. The Dental Store® was a training center for hundreds of dentists from around the country for the American Dental Laser. The ADL Nd:YAG 300 Laser performs faster minor gum surgeries without anesthesia, pain, bleeding, packing, sutures or scarring. Procedures are faster, more conservative to healthy tissues, often sterilizes the sites, is noiseless, and there are fewer post-operative complications. It is also smaller and easier to reach into the mouth compared with the conventional handpiece or drill. Effective also in reducing tooth sensitivity and canker sores and can be used for minor cavities, enhancing retention for bonded restorations and enhancing treatment of root canals, and now, for removal of tooth decay. See Patterson Dental.

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY replaces conventional X-rays and requires NO developing which in turn causes NO environmental damage from the disposal of developing solutions. This system uses 90 percent less radiation and uses a computer imaging system to record and store the image and for enhancing the capabilities for diagnosis and patient understanding. A permanent record is established for file retention and generating for patient use or insurance carrier billing. This system is better for all expectant mothers, children and the public at large. See Patterson Dental.

MIELE DISINFECTION SYSTEM is the newest in disinfection and sterilization. It is a "dishwasher-like" system for quick disinfection prior to sterilization. This system provides complete cleansing, disinfection, packaging and sterilization during which procedure all instrumentation is not touched following use on a patient, and prior to use on other patients. See Patterson Dental.
